Visitors from Poland Participated in FH High School's Student Exchange from October 28 to November 11, 2024
Fountain Hills High School students, along with teachers Mr. Luke Salzman, Mr. Chris Peterson, and Ms. Olivia Long, recently hosted Polish exchange students from our sister city of Zamość, Poland. The school program is assisted by Fountain Hills Sister Cities members, led by FHSC President Christine Colley and Vice President Elizabeth Matej-Horchem. Three Polish teachers/chaperones helped in the exchange, as well.
What They Experienced While Here...
The Polish students and teachers, alongside their Fountain Hills counterparts, explored our beautiful state with visits to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona, and Saguaro Lake. Students also got a chance to experience citizen diplomacy, a key component of the Sister Cities program, with a personal tour of our state capitol building hosted by Arizona State Senator Mr. John Kavanagh. The Senator guided the tour and provided an insight into our American political system. According to the Polish students, this was one of the most memorable experiences of all.
