Reece Beers, FHSC Youth Ambassador Heads to Washington DC
While already a busy student at Fountain Hills High School, Reece Beers also finds time to participate in many other activities to broaden his horizons and make a difference.
As a recent nominee to the FH Sister Cities Board of Directors as a Student Ambassador, he seeks to bring a fresh and youth-oriented perspective to the connections we share with our community and our international partner cities.
Part of his commitment to the local Sister Cities Chapter is getting involved at the national level. He has successfully landed a position at the coveted Youth Leadership Summit, hosted by Sister Cities International to be held again this year in Washington DC.
The 2026 Youth Leadership Summit is an immersive program for young leaders, ages 14-18, from across the globe. Designed to inspire the next generation of citizen diplomats, the Summit equips participants with essential leadership and professional development skills. Through interactive sessions and activities, students will address global challenges, fostering a commitment to peace, mutual respect, and cross-cultural cooperation. The ultimate goal will be to give students a glimpse into the concepts and benefits of Citizen Diplomacy.
