A Celebration of Another German Tradition – Wine!

Most people immediately know Germany’s traditions around beer making but fewer people are aware of a similar craft industry that has thrived for centuries right alongside beer. The German Tradition of Wine!

It was in this spirit that Fountain Hills Sister Cities chose to sponsor a German Wine Tasting Event along with the help of a highly respected local Sommelier (wine expert) to educate and delight attendees about this rich, often overlooked, region of wine making expertise.

The event was hosted by local German Restaurant Zum Treffpunkt and included traditional German style finger foods and some great wine-related stories from our talented and engaging Sommelier. It was yet another cultural exploration that Fountain Hills Sister Cities shares with its members in honor of the partnership with sister city Dierdorf, Germany.
